FM 106.1 Countryfest 2008 with Trace Adkins - Tickets on Sale now!

Featuring: TRACE ADKINS, CRAIG MORGAN, JASON MICHAEL CARROLL at The Bradley Center, Friday, October 17, 2008. Tickets on Sale at FM 106.1 and The Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin are proud to announce this incredible line up of Trace Adkins, Craig Morgan and Jason Michael Carroll for CountryFest 2008, sponsored by Mike Juneau’s Brookfield Buick, Pontiac, GMC, on Friday October 17th. The show begins at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:30pm.
Trace Adkins is, quite simply, country music’s Alpha male, a towering presence in an era when larter-than-life personalities are a rarity. His instantly recognizable baritone has been cutting through the airwaves and energizing concert hall speakers for well over a decade as he has established himself as a major force in contemporary country. Now, with the release of American Man, Greatest Hits Volume II, Trace Adkins collects the songs that have turned him from rising star to superstar. Early hits like “Every Light In The House,” “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing,” “I Left Something Turned On At Home” and “The Rest Of Mine” helped his first Greatest Hits collection go platinum as he built the foundation from which he would launch his assault on the upper reaches of the country marketplace. Along the way, he played the White House, appeared widely on both talk and entertainment television, and became one of country’s most commanding figures both on stage and on the video screen. American Man, Greatest Hits Volume II chronicles the last few years of the journey and, with its new material, launches Trace into an immeasurably promising future.
Craig Morgan has had back-to-back #1 singles, massive radio airplay–including country’s biggest hit of 2005, solid album sales and a nomination in 2006 as the Academy of Country Music’s new male vocalist of the year. His latest CD, Little Bit of Life is Morgan’s fourth album and third for the red-hot independent label Broken Bow Records. His previous albums spawned such memorable hits as I Got You, Redneck Yacht Club, and the poignant Almost Home, as well as That’s What I Love About Sunday, which spent five weeks at No. 1 and ended 2005 as country radio’s most played song of the year. The father of five children routinely performs more than 200 concert dates a year. He is a fan favorite on the legendary Grand Ole Opry, where he has been invited to perform more than 150 times in his career. In addition to his Opry appearances and regular touring schedule, Morgan frequently performs at military bases both in the U.S. and abroad, remembering how much those visits from entertainers meant to him during his 10 years on active duty. He’s glad to have achieved enough notoriety in his career that his appearances can now boost the morale of his fellow armed service members.
Jason Michael Carroll doesn’t look like he sounds – and that intrigue only heightens both realities of the tangy vocalist from North Carolina. After all, to hear him is to hear a straight-up, full-tilt, no-frills country singer who works a groove like a mule team, a melody like a barrel racer going for time, and a tear jerker with the dignity of Sunday grace. But to look at the rangy 28-year-old is to see a twinkle in the eye of a kid who could be just as at home on a surf or
skateboard, a bit of mischief and kicked-back cool that says suburban sprawl and good times found where they fall. Carroll’s 2007 release, “Alyssa Lies” became the fastest-rising debut single by a male country artist in 2006. The song also set a record in its first week of availability, earning the highest country new artist debut in the history of SoundScan’s Digital Songs chart. But for Jason Michael Carroll, it’s just scratching the surface. Whether it’s the poignancy of “Alyssa Lies,” the blow-up-the-weekend revelry of “Honky Tonk Friends,” or the sweeping desire of “Lookin’ at You,” Carroll finds his voice in any kind of song – just so long as it’s country.
Tickets are $37 and $27 (plus applicable fees) and go on sale Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. at The Bradley Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, on line at http://www.ticketmaster.com/ or by calling 414-276-4545.
