Welcome to the Cirkus - Let the Madness Begin…
December 23, 2008 by Claudia
In the late 60’s Led Zeppelin gave us “Whole Lotta Love”. Then the 70’s hit and The Clash rang saying “London Calling”, and we answered. In the 80’s Guns ‘N’ Roses took us all to “Paradise City”. The 90’s came and so did Nirvana, saying it “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Now it’s 2008 and along come Cirkus telling us Let the Madness Begin…and it has, look around folks!
Cirkus, slaps you in the face with Roux’d (vocals), Snetan (guitar), Maston (bass) and Ric (drums), the sound, the edge, and the image of hey-day rockers such as Mötley Crüe and Aerosmith. Their riffs are fast and hard with lyrics that unapologetically attack big city lights, fast women, and the media. Receiving rave reviews and critical acclaim from Europe to Southern California, Cirkus’s live performances win over even the biggest skeptics.
Close-up Magazine declares their style as ‘pedal to the metal’ and ‘purely rock ‘n’ roll.’ “With such devotion to quality, you have to bow down and lift your hat.” “Singer Roux’d has got the rare ability to push his vocals to the most pressured register, and at the same time make it sound mighty,” according to the editors of UNT Fredag.
After releasing 3 successful EP’s for three years straight, Cirkus has just finished their full on frontal assault debut album titled Let the Madness Begin together with musical genius Chris Tsangarides, a Grammy nominated producer and mixing engineer for bands such as Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Bruce Dickinson and Yngwie Malmsteen. Let the Madness Begin is set for a US release on November 11th through Nightmare Records/Koch Distribution. It’s called a shock to the system and senses so what better way to describe a Cirkus attack than Let the Madness Begin . The songs, the sound and the quality of the album speak for itself.
Their first US tour led them straight to Hollywood, playing famous venues such as Club Derby, the Cat Club, and Whisky a Go Go. During this tour, Cirkus became the first band to ever be broadcast live on YouTube via the 420 Channel.
The Band Members

Rouxd - vocals - Not your ordinary singer. This boy has got personal problem you won’t believe. He makes an insane person say; “boy you got problem”. Roux’d, well what can we say? Nothing, because chances are this boys mouth has already sung it. Roux’d never follows rules that have been set, he sets rules to be followed. We are sorry for his action ahead of time, please accept our deepest apologies. |
| Snetan - guitar - Dreaming wet dreams about his guitar heroes and of a time when walking the streets with a six string on the back automatically meant you get to date the hottest girl in school. Some might find Snetan like an 80’s sissy, since he’s treating his sangria coloured Ibanez like a lady. | ![]() |

Maston - bass Packed with a full gear of energy this boy lives up to his name Maston. A mass ton of bass in your face, a mixture of old school meets new school this boy makes his own rules. |
| Ric - drums Tight like a pair of slim fit Levi’s, but too bad the poor little drummer boy can’t afford that kind of pants. Bad to the bone, he wears his old jeans with holes barley hanging on him. Anyway, he’s dubbed as Roux’d’s personal groovy bitch. Ric drives the car, fuelled with Jack Daniels, so we all can feel safe on that long ass ride straight to hell. |
